Natural medicine has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was that kid in primary school with a funky-looking brown sourdough sandwich and fermented veggies in my lunchbox - while secretly envying everyone else’s sausage rolls and meat pies. My mum was well ahead of her time, raising us as organically as one could in the early 2000s. I may not have appreciated it back then, but now I’m endlessly grateful. Those early lessons became the foundation of everything I value in health and life.

It wasn’t until I faced my own health challenges that naturopathy truly found me. After being diagnosed with CIN III abnormal cervical cells, I found myself in a naturopath’s office - vulnerable, scared, and desperate for answers. It was the first time I felt seen and safe enough to speak openly about what I was experiencing: not just physically, but emotionally, too. At the time, I was also trying to conceive my second child and had suffered multiple miscarriages. As it turned out, my cervical health and my body’s systemic acidity were deeply connected.

Through tailored dietary changes, gentle detoxification, and a lot of emotional unravelling, I began to rebuild. And when I finally loosened my white-knuckle grip on control, my son Sebastian was conceived. It was a lesson that healing isn’t linear, and that true health begins when the body and mind finally exhale together.
